UPnP Bridge

The UPnP Bridge service makes it possible to bridge a UPnP device so that it appears as a Squeezebox-compatible player. This lets you use a UPnP-capable streamer directly from within Roon, because Roon supports the Squeezebox protocol out of the box.

This is particularly useful when you have a UPnP streamer that does not support Roon’s RAAT protocol natively.

Note

This service exists specifically for Roon. If you just want to stream to Verox from a UPnP/DLNA controller without Roon in the picture, use UPnP/DLNA instead.

Configuration

  • UPnP Renderer — click Scan to discover UPnP renderers on your network, then select the one to bridge. This is required.
  • Volume Control — enable to allow (digital) volume control on the bridged renderer.
  • Max Sample Rate — the maximum sample rate to send to the renderer: 48 kHz, 96 kHz, or 192 kHz.
