Audio
On the Audio tab you can configure Verox’s audio output.
HAT
If you have an audio HAT attached, select it here. Verox supports an extensive set of HATs, continuously updated to support the latest models. See the full HAT list.
Note
Some HATs support automatic detection and will be configured during installation. If you have configured a HAT, you may also be able to enable Dynamic Audio Power Management (DAPM). This removes the audio signal completely when not playing — useful for HATs with a TOSLINK output.
Warning
Not all HATs support DAPM.HDMI
Verox can also output audio over HDMI. This is disabled by default.
Note
Only stereo is supported over HDMI.USB
USB audio is enabled by default. Verox shows all connected USB DACs — make sure they are powered on.
USB Force Volume forces the USB DAC’s volume to a specific level on connect. This option is rarely needed. When enabled, set the Force Volume Level (%) to apply.
USB Auto Suspend shuts down the USB DAC after a defined idle timeout. Useful when the DAC drives a power amplifier directly, so the output is disabled when nothing is playing.
Warning
Most USB DACs do not support Auto Suspend.
